The mountains are an unusual place to build. They afford many different topographical challenges. Retaining walls are a must for building in and around the mountains.
In their essence, retaining walls stabilize a slope or give you an area to backfill for landscape purposes. They protect planted areas or basement egress from erosion, but they can be used to do much more.
